Hello New & Returning Ross County Safety Council Members,
I wanted to send all of you an email to share with you the schedule for this year’s Safety Council meetings, information about pre-paid meal tickets, participation requirements and to answer any questions you may have.
First and foremost, Welcome! We are excited that you have decided to join us. It is our goal to provide you with and connect you to all the safety knowledge and resources your company needs.
Attached you will find a PDF version of this year’s meeting schedule. 8 of our 10 meetings will be held at the PACCAR Medical Education Center on Hospital Road. Our kickoff event, August 25th, will be held at Ohio University Chillicothe’s newly renovated ERTC center. The kickoff event lunch is free to all members however regular meeting lunch costs are $10 per person. An invitation for the Kickoff event will be emailed out in the coming months, we advise that everyone to wear comfortable shoes and come prepared to move around and interact. All attendees must register for all safety council meetings, registration will be listed on our website at www.rosscountysafetycouncil.com and can also be found on the chamber’s events calendar at www.chillicotheohio.com.
Every year we give members the opportunity to purchase a meal tickets which contains 10 coupons for the regular meetings for $100.00 in advance. This assists with keeping track of attendance and also saves members the hassle of writing checks or dealing with cash. The meal booklets are strongly encouraged but not required. Participation requirements: In order to receive the discounts offered by BWC through the Safety Council programs members must complete all of the following;
The Ross County Safety Council does offer 3 external credit opportunities each year. There are also classes available at the BWC office in Portsmouth for our members as well as the annual Safety Expo in Columbus every year.

Downloadable below you will also find a Semi-Annual report, these reports are required to be done twice a fiscal year. Please complete the attached report ASAP and return it to me via email or fax. Your safety council number is your BWC policy number followed by 00-08.
Included in the brochure are the names and emails of your 2016-2017 Safety Council Steering committee, I hope you are able to get to know them over the course of the year.
